With an original vintage William Anderson sporran cantle and ox blood under slip and a carefully crafted new replacement pouch in a timeless classic fur style. This piece is enhanced by the inclusion of original vintage thistle sporran tassel caps, adding a touch of authenticity and elegance to an already stunning accessory.
This specific fur was carefully chosen to closely resemble the original otter fur appearance, thereby honouring the historical aesthetic and integrity of the piece. Our commitment to preserving tradition while using sustainable materials reflects our dedication to craftsmanship and heritage. The front is then finish with three classic matching tassels to recreate that Victorian - Edwardian Highland wear style. The back is crafted in oxblood leather and a classic small back purse as was popular at the time.

A Sporran is a pouch (Scottish Gaelic for ‘purse’). Now a decorative part of Highland dress, it was originally an everyday practical item. Made of leather or fur, it usually has more or less elaborate silver or other ornamentation, especially on the clasp or hanger. It is worn on a chain or belt around the waist, allowing the sporran to lie below the waist of the person wearing a kilt.
