Antique Scottish Provincial Silver & Horn Snuff Box - Dress Accoutrement Box

A good quality Victorian Scottish table snuff box, expertly crafted from the unique and durable material of highland cattle horn, it features an elegantly bevelled glass base. This exquisite piece is further enhanced by a stunning facetted Scottish citrine, which is beautifully set in silver, adding a touch of sophistication and charm.

Thought to have been crafted by the renowned Scottish horn and silversmith William Dunningham, in the city of Aberdeen. Based in the appropriately-named Diamond Street in Aberdeen.

Even if you do not take snuff, then this makes a wonderful little antique box to store cufflinks, studs and stick pins today.

Good used antique condition - some small little nibbles to the edge as can be seen in the photographs - these are not unsightly though and to be expected after 100 years of use.
