Scottish Gaelic Knot Style Kilt Bow - Rosettes - Pair
Hand-crafted kilt bows fashioned from fine, wider grosgrain ribbon. Designed to be neatly stitched onto the top apron at the front right-hand side of the kilt, providing a refined finishing touch.
Believed to have first come into regular use during the 1820s and the Highland Rival period, these adornments helped secure the front apron of the kilt before the invention or adoption of the kilt pin.
Following the Napoleonic Wars, some Highland regiments’ SNCOs and officers adopted kilt bows and rosettes in a variety of patterns, adding a decorative and regimental distinction to their dress.
Other colour options maybe available upon request.
