At the House of Labhran we offer the finest classic quality wool Scottish Glengarries, Balmorals, Kilmarnock Bonnets, Lowland Bonnets, Atholl Bonnets, Tam O Shanters. All our hats are 100% made in Scotland by Robert Mackie since 1845.

Our glengarry hats and bonnets are as supplied to the Highland regiments and made in the finest wool, silk bands and silk ribbon tails. The hats are all hand finished by highly skilled and experienced craftspeople. Over the years we have worked on special orders for films, television and private clients. We have supplied WW1 pattern glengarries to re enactor groups, Hollywood films and a range of bespoke patterns for pipe bands and associations.

Fine Scottish Hats & Bonnets

The Glengarry is a cap which Alasdair Ranaldson MacDonell of Glengarry invented and wears in the classic portrait of himself. It is a boat-shaped cap without a peak made of thick-milled woollen material with a toorie or bobble on top and ribbons hanging down behind.
